Part 3: SX Champion James Bubba Stewart's Toyota Tundra Build
August 23, 2010
Here is the third and final chapter of the build for 7 Time Supercross and Motocross Champion James "Bubba" Stewart's Supercharged Toyota Tundra. To finish where we left off on part two we have put the finishing touches of what has been a memorable and exciting build for N-FAB. Once again we would like to think everyone who helped N-FAB by sending products to complete this build.
To continue this build we decided to update James Tundra with a 2011 Tundra Black Grill provided to us by Gulf States Toyota. The guys over there at GST as we call it, helped us out tremendously by finding the correct part number and delivering a grill already painted to match so that once we received the grill it went on flawlessly. To add the guys at GST also delivered a new rear bumper to us so that we had powder-coated to match the other items we added so the update was complete for James. Thanks again GST!!!
With the updates added to James Tundra it was now time for N-FAB to finish the rear of the truck. To do this we added the rear bumper that was provided by Gulf States Toyota and we also added a N-FAB Rear Runner for the complete off-road look. With the two items added James Stewart's Tundra truly looks like a unique vehicle and he retained the factory receiver hitch so he can still get his super fast Yamaha's around when he feels like going for a local joy ride.
Now that the rear of the Toyota is complete it was time for N-FAB to focus on the front of the Tundra. To do this N-FAB enlisted the help of Rigid Industries. The masterminds at Rigid Industries supplied two of their Military Grade 40" LED Lights. Each of these lights produce a whopping 14,525 Lumens which means when James Stewart needs to see the something at night he simply switches on his lights and produces instant sunlight. To house the sunlight in a sleek looking fashion the guys here in the R&D Center at N-FAB specially fabricated one of our RSP Bumper's to fit the two Rigid Lights. Once completed the RSP Bumper was installed and like magic James Tundra was complete and the sun can now shine again for the 7X champion. Thanks again Rigid, you made James Stewart and happy man and a man that can be seen 15 miles away at night!!!!
With everything installed it was now time for us to load up James Tundra and move it 980 miles to make its first show appearance in Orlando Florida which just happened to be James home town. To do this it was transported in N-FAB's Show Hauler and viola it was in Orlando. Once in Orlando it was moved into the Orange County Convention for the 1000's in attendance at the 4 Wheel Parts Truck and Jeep Fest to see and for James Stewart to see for the first time since the build began.
To say the least James was very happy with the build and took the time for a few photo's and autographs while at the show. We would personally like to say thank you to James, James Sr. and his crew for the chance to build this amazing project and also for the hospitality shown while we were there to deliver the Tundra. James Stewart is a champion both on the track and off.
