March 13, 2016

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (March 13, 2016) Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ont. was the site for round 10 of the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Championship.  The Toronto event is the only race held outside of the U.S. and has been included in the schedule since 2008.  An enthusiastic crowd of 50,605 fans were in attendance and the entire event was broadcast live on Fox Sports One.

Weston Peick transferred directly to the Main Event from Heat One.  Phillip Nicoletti, who was already struggling badly with a knee injury caused by a crash at the Atlanta round, went down hard in Heat Two ending his night.  As of this writing Nicoletti is bruised and very sore but not believed to be seriously injured.

Peick began the Main Event inside the top-10 logging in ninth at the conclusion of the opening lap.  He rode consistently throughout the 20-lap feature finishing eighth, his best finish of the 2016 season thus far.

The next stop on the tour will be Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. on March 19.  Fox Sports Two will broadcast the race live beginning at 7:00 p.m. (EST).!toronto-2016/c1vvc
